March 20, 2010, we explored Maui above the ocean and below! We visited the lush landscape of Iao Valley by going to the scenic lookout called the Iao Needle. History claims that the Valley was where King Kamehameha conquered the forces of Maui in the Battle of Kepanewai. We walked through the fragrance of fresh island flowers while basking in the serenity of the valley.
Then we took a journey beneath the waves at the Maui Ocean Center.
