The first photo is inside a lava tube and the second one is outside Kilauea, an active volcano in Hilo. The third photo is of our cruise ship, Celebrity Constellation. We had room 8103 Concierge Class which offered fresh fruit, flowers, chocolates and hors oeuvres daily.
Our first port of call on our Hawaii cruise was Hilo, the rainy side of the big Island. We drove through the lush tropical forest to the Volcanoes National Park, by bus. We viewed the outside and then went inside the Thurston Lava Tube. Then we rode along the 11-mile Crater Rim Drive where we viewed the smooth Pahoehoe and jagged A'a types of lava tubes. After viewing and going inside the lava tubes we took a tour of the Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut factory for a
sample.
Yesterday, Sunday, Ed and I went golfing with the nicest people from Orange Blossom Hills. The name of the course we golfed on was El Santiago.
